Economic adviser to the government, Tun Daim Zainuddin hit the nail on the head today saying people aren’t happy with some ministers behaving so differently after being elected, adding that such ministers cause the Pakatan Harapan (PH) government to lose trust and support from citizens.
“Many of them became arrogant and do not care about the people, different than before being elected when they were so approachable and available.
“They stopped replying to people`s queries, claiming they are too busy.
“Let us not forget it is the people who voted for them and they are supposed to be serving them,” he told Sin Chew Daily.
Daim said that when commenting on the spreading speculation about the formation of a new government called “Pakatan Nasional” by the Pas, Umno and some leaders from PH.
He also warns that a slow-performing, “incompetent” ministers would be eventually rejected when they could not deliver and meet the people’s expectations.
“The government should focus on restoring the people’s faith in them by solving the people’s issues and delivering the election manifesto.
“Their inability to fulfill these pledges are what cost them the people’s support,” he said.
