PUTRAJAYA: Active COVID-19 trend under the COVID-19 Assessment Centre (CAC) Maya based on patients clinical condition from Epidemiology Week (ME1/2022 until ME38/2022 are 4,830 new cumulative cases, 4,768,604 recovery cases, 36,348 deaths and 7,079 clusters (14 active clusters).
Ministry of Health Director General, Tan Sri Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah said, the comparison between ME37/2022 with ME38 2022 includes recovery cases drop by 5.8 percent (14,513 to 13,677), new cases drop by 4.9 per cent (13,627 to 12,934).
Dr. Noor Hisham said, the number of import cases also drop by 31.0 per cent (42 to 29 cases), while death cases for ME38/2022 increase by 29 per cent (31 to 40 cases). Approximately the active daily cases for ME38/2022 are 25,325 that is a drop of 4.0 per cent compared to the week before.
“The COVID-19 cases that have been monitored by the COVID-19 CAC nationwide had shown an increase in new cases monitored from home,” Dr. Noor Hisham said in a statement explaning the current situation of the COVID-19 infections on 38th Epidemiology Week starting 18th -24th Sept. 2022.
He added, following are the comparison of physical CAC data that is reported on ME37/2022 and ME38/2022. The number of patients going to CAC drop by 0.5 per cent.
However the percentage used in Epidemiology Week 5 includes new COVID-19 cases that are being monitored from home increased by 102 per cent. The number of COVID-19 cases that have been referred to CAC to the hospital is the same as ME37.
“For the trend of the daily COVID-19 active cases that have been monitored via online (CAC Maya), towards the end of ME 38/2022 has shown it has fallen by 0.47 per cent compared to the end of ME37/2022 that is from 30,965 to 30,819 cases. – Malaysia World News
