PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia is with the opinion that any conflict should be solved at the negotiation table and not via war.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said, China should play its roles in ensuring the world peace is maintained.
“I have relayed my intention to visit China officially in the near future and make a courtesy call to President Xi and Premier Li.
“The government welcomes the interest of many official trade delegations and businesses from China such as Huawei to be involved in Malaysia Government Initiatives.”
Ismail said that in a statement on receiving a courtesy call from the State Councillor and Foreign minister of the People’s Republic of China Wang Yi on 12th July 2022.
The Prime Minister added, in the one hour discussion, they had discussed on the bilateral relations and the importance of developing digital economy.
Meanwhile, Wang Yi said, the government of China will give priority to elevate cooperation with Malaysia especially in addressing the current challenges facing both countries today such as global inflation and food security.
“Wang Yi also expressed his gratitude to the government of Malaysia on the opportunities given to the Chinese infrastructure companies to participate in the national development projects among others the implementation of the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) and China’s interest to continue the railway connections that involve Laos and Thailand. – Malaysia World News
