CELCOM Package “Tiga Tiga” launched in harmonious Deepavali – Hishammuddin

PORT DICKSON: Malaysians need not worry or fear from any threats that could threaten the prosperity, harmony and the peacefulness of the country with the presence of the Malaysian Army.

Chief of Malaysian Army, General Tan Sri Zulkiple Kassim said, taking the meaning of Deepavali as the festival of lights, the discipline of the armed forces cannot be separated from the lights that are required to enlighten the darkness of the night.

“Hosted by the Malaysian Army Training and Doctrine Command (PL&DTD) the Deepavali celebration is aimed at strengthening the relationship between the armed forces’ leadership and the staffs including the Indian veterans.

“It is in this occasion that army personnel from multiracial composition could enjoy the celebration and at the same time enhancing the harmony between one another,” he said at the Deepavali celebration which was organised by Malaysia Army at Hangar, Army Basic Training Centre (PUSASDA), on Tuesday.

Also present at the event  were the Minister of Defence, Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein, Chief of Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) General Tan Sri Raja Mohamed Affandi Raja Mohamed Noor,  Deputy Secretary General of the Ministry of Defence (Management), Datuk Mohd. Zainy Mohamed Zain,  PMBTD Lt. Gen Datuk Azizan Md. Delin, Formation Commanders, Senior Officers of Malaysian Army, members of the Indian MAF Veterans (PERIM), members of Sikh MAF Veterans (MAFSVA), and 1,000 Malaysian Army personnel.

The celebration also witnessed the launching of the CELCOM Package “Tiga Tiga” by Datuk Seri Hishammuddin who is also the Minister with Special Functions.

This programme is a joint effort between CELCOM Axiata Berhad and MAF-an initiative to support the Welfare Trust (Direction of Ministry of Defence) and subsequently maintains the welfare of MAF family including the veterans.
