Have you been to Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur recently? What are your impressions?
Bukit Bintang is well-known as one of the favorite shopping and entertainment spots in Kuala Lumpur and the Klang Valley. Any tourist that comes to Malaysia would first like to visit or walk around at this famous touristic area.
However, the beauty of Bukit Bintang as a whole has been “smashed” when you go along the road nearby. The places all along the road have become the “dirtiest” with a lot of trash, beggars and homeless people.

Many prostitutes are seen roaming around in front of massage shops and cheap hotels along the road. Many immigrants from Bangladesh, Myanmar and China along with hundreds of jobless Arabs and African men were seen hanging around especially in the evening near Bukt Bintang area and Jalan Alor nearby.
The ugliest and most disappointing scene which Malaysia World News (MWN) reporter saw was the rubbish scattering all over the place near Bukit Bintang and at Jalan Alor while rows of beggars with children were seen begging from the tourists.
A taxi driver commented that “Bukit Bintang is no longer as it was before; even the food there is no longer cheap nor delicious.”
“We tried to sit and eat at the atmospheric air-conditioned seafood restaurant and hawker stall, but to our disappointment the food there is so expensive and yet not tasty,” similarly said a tourist. –Malaysia World News
