London: UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has agreed to resign today after losing support among his ministers and members of the parliament.
It is reported he will make a statement later today confirming the decision.
More than 50 MPs have resigned from government and party roles since Tuesday night.
The Prime Minister had failed to defy his critics and carry on in office as his Cabinet colleagues did not show any support.
Boris will remain in office as Prime Minister until October when a successor is in place.
