PUTRAJAYA NOV.23: Aid payments involving RM300 million will be disbursed starting on 25th Nov. (Thursday) under the Second Phase of the Bantuan Khas COVID-19 (BKC).
Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said, the payments are involving 700,000 household recipients, singles and senior citizens under the poor income category.
Ismail said, the Phase Three payments of the BKC involving RM1.2 billion will be disbursed according to the schedule in December 2021.
However he said, the Third Phase of the BKC and payment will involve 3.8 million household recipients in the poor and B40 categories.
“I would like to stress that the government is always concern on the people’s grouses and hopes the BKC payments will be able to lessen the burden of the people still impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
“To ensure the prosperity of the Malaysian Family the government will be committed continuously to ensure the aids provided will be channelled effectively,” he said in a statement here today.
The BKC is part of the People’s Protection Package and Economic Recovery (PEMULIH) besides additional payments to the economic stimulus package.
The Prime Minister added, on 28th June 2021, the government has announced the PEMULIH Package to be among the aid initiatives given as a whole to the people.
Meanwhile, the payments for the households, senior citizens and singles on 25th Nov. will be directly credited to the bank accounts while the recipients who have no bank accounts including those in Sabah and Sarawak will be paid via the Bank Simpanan Nasional branches. The BSN will release a standard operating procedure (SOP) from time to time.-Malaysia World News
