Bankruptcy cases among the youths are increasing – PM Ismail

KUALA LUMPUR: The government is concerned about the number of bankruptcy cases among the youths and worried if the number increases drastically.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said, the government had increased the threshold during the pandemic as well as to postpone the law involving bankruptcy and the threshold to be reviewed.

“I will discuss with the Minister of Law to see the Act and the laws besides meeting the Governor of Bank Negara to look at the legal aspects if it could be postponed again.

“Believe me the future of the youths will continue to be the government’s agenda,” Ismail said in his speech at the closing ceremony of the BN Youth Job Fair 2022 held at the World Trade Centre here today

Earlier in his speech the Prime Minister said he would like to respond to the issue raised by the BN Youth Chief about bankruptcy involving the youths.

Meanwhile, more than 200 employers bringing with them 20,000 job vacancies have participated in the BN Youth Job Fair 2022.

Regarding the job fair, Ismail said the employers should give opportunity to the job seekers if they are suitable and fulfiling the requirements needed by the organisation.

“To the job seeker, do your best at the interview session, always think positive and act fast so that the job opportunity will not be missed.

“I was informed that the job offers will be issued today,” Ismail said. -Malaysia World News
