PUTRAJAYA: A total of 5,551,094 inspections had been conducted throughout Op Patuh until 22nd June 2022 and out of which 13,143 compounds had been issued while 6,383 premises were instructed to be closed.
Minister of Home Affairs, Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin said, following the shift to endemic phase, the government had also decided to end the appointment of officers authorised under the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988 effective 30th June 2022.
Hamzah said, all enforcement functions on the compliance of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and the endemic shift protocols will be carried out by the Ministry of Health and the Royal Police Malaysia that play the roles of advocacy to the people relating to endemic shift phase.
“This afternoon I had presented appreciation certificates to 32 representatives from ministries, departments , agencies and staffs of the Enforcement Coordination Committee and MCO COVID-19 SOP Compliance (JKPS),” Hamzah said in his facebook post today.
He added, the appreciation certificates presented to the staffs is a symbolic sign of thanking them for the services rendered.-Malaysia World News
