Advanced MedTech Holdings (AMTH), a global medical technology leader based in Singapore, have announced a donation of several Alpha ventilators  worth up to RM2 million to hospitals in Malaysia.

The donation aims to facilitate the work of medical frontliners and also help patients with severe respiratory distress in the intensive care unit (ICU) wards

The Alpha ventilator helps healthcare workers to monitor the patients remotely via an online dashboard. This reduces the risk of infection.

The ventilators will be sent to hospitals in Malaysia where infection and hospitalization rates are high.

It is reported that RM3 million worth of ventilators have been already donated to  Indonesia, Myanmar and India.

The Alpha ventilator was developed by ABM Respiratory Care, a medical device company developing novel integrated airway clearance and ventilation solutions and is manufactured and distributed by Advanced MedTech in Singapore.
