MELAKA: Ames Hotel, Melaka is all set to present over 280 local signature dishes, international and
traditional from 13 states of Malaysia starting March 23-April 21, 2023 at The Munch Restaurant in conjunction with the fasting month (Ramadan).
The concept Buffet Warisan Kampung was specially launched and previewed for the fasting month this year.
Jean Marc Lafosse, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Alorie Hospitality in his welcoming speech thanked all the invited guests and members of the media for attending the preview of the Buffet Warisan Kampung.

The menu is extensive. It starts off with ulam-ulam, salted fish, kerabu and urap, lemang, serunding ayam, serunding kelapa and serunding daging.
The food could be enjoyed with sauces such as sambal belacan, budu, sambal hitam ikan bilis, sambal mangga, sambal tempoyak, cincalok and sambal kicap.
For those who like sour and savoury, check out at the jeruk, kerepek and rojak section.
The best are the stalls serving roti John, sup tulang daging, sharwarma chicken, goreng-goreng, gulai kawah, ayam gulai kawah, daging rendang tok, asam pedas, char koay teow, assorted satay and kambing biri-biri golek.
There is an irresistible Middle-Eastern section where you can whet your appetite with grissini, lavash, pita, tabouleh, fattoush, Palestine briyani rce, cheese fatayar and dhall.
Don’t miss out the chaffing dishes as you will be craving for ayam kurma berkentang, kepah masak masam manis, mutton vindaloo, sambal udang nenas, mee goreng tengkera, stir-fried squid Kam Heong, salt & pepper fried fish, nyonya laksa, spaghetti Aglio Olio, chicken parmiagiana, beef stew, variety of pizzas and nasi putih.
The desserts are to die for. Do not leave for home without trying the assorted French pastries, colourful puddings, rainbow jelly, vanilla cream brulee, fruit flan, bubur pulut hitam, pengat pisang, different ice-cream flavours, sliced fruits, kuih apam gula Melaka, cookies, pulut panggang, ketayap, seri muka, dodol, dates, ice-kacang and leng chee kang.
The Buffet Warisan Kampung is from 6pm to 10pm. Early Bird Offer is RM108 nett per adult and RM78 nett per child from 6-11 years old and senior citizens aged 60 and above and is valid from now till 18 March 2023.
The normal price for the Buffet Warisan Kampung after 18 March 2023 is RM 118 nett per adult and RM78 nett per child from 6-11 years old and senior citizens aged 60 & above.
