All PN candidates contesting in Melaka election should sign a pledge against corruption, says Muhyiddin

SHAH ALAM: All Perikatan Nasional (PN) candidates contesting in the Melaka election will have to sign a pledge to stand firm against abuse of power and corruption and serve the people fairly.

PN chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said “all the PN candidates have to sign a pledge on this within a day or two.

“This shows that we are committed to waging war against corruption,” Muhyiddin said at the “Pentas PRN Melaka PN” programme here on Thursday last night.

Present at the event was also Pas president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang and Gerakan president Datuk Dr Dominic Lau Hoe Chai.

Muhyiddin added that PN’s manifesto for the Melaka polls will be announced soon.

Muhyiddin, who is Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia president and National Recovery Council chairman added that PN’s manifesto for the Melaka polls will be announced soon ( on Sunday).

He also promised that PN will not lie to the voters and they will emplement what they pledge in their manifesto.

“We are not Pakatan Harapan. During Harapan’s time, they promised the moon and sun but then (after winning) Mahathir said the manifesto was not bible to be abided by.

“We won’t lie to Malaysians. When we’ve made a promise, we will fulfil them. Our religion demands it,” he told reporters at a press conference today.
