PUTRAJAYA: Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said all foreign workers must undergo COVID-19 testing before resuming work.
This move came as Malaysia has eased MCO restrictions, allowing businesses to reopen and people to leave their homes and go to work starting from May 4.

Ismail stressed in another statement that foreign workers must undergo the checkup before they are allowed to go to work.
“We are doing this because we are looking after the interests of all Malaysians.
“We need to make sure foreign workers are tested so that there will be no spike in cases,” he said in a press conference yesterday.
Meantime, the senior minister said that the Social Security Organisation (SOCSO) will cover the cost of the tests.
In another development Director General of Health, Datuk Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah said in a press conference yesterday that out of yesterday 30 new cases recorded in Malaysia, 24 were non-citizens.
