Al- Sultan Abdullah congratulates Malaysian athletes to qualify for Olympic Games and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020

KUALA LUMPUR JULY 6: The Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah congratulated Malaysian athletes for their determination, perseverance and successes to qualify themselves in the OlympicGames and Tokyo Paralympic Games 2020.

The Ministry of Youth and Sports in its statement said, His Majesty Al-Sultan Abdullah sincerely hopes that the national athletes could exhibit their best performance in towering the Malaysian’s name at the highest level in the world.

Besides that Al-Sultan Abdullah hopes all athletes and the officials will consistently take care of their health while present at the two Olympic Games events.

“Al-Sultan Abdullah urges all Malaysians together with him to pray for the success of the national athletes in achieving their targets that had been set at the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020,” the statement said here today.

The Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 will start on 23rd July-8th August 2021while the Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020 from 24th August until 5th September 2021.

The statement added, His Majesty, Yang di-Pertuan Agong has received the audience of the Minister of Youth and Sports, Datuk Seri Reezal Merican NainaMerican at the Istana Negara today.Also present was the Malaysian Olympic Council President, Tan Sri Mohamad Norza Zakaria and Malaysian Paralympic Council President, Datuk Seri Megat D. Shahriman Datuk Zaharuddin.

The statement added, His Majesty Yang di-Pertuan Agong has handed over the “Jalur Gemilang” to the Minister of Youth and Sports as a symbol for both national contingents to participate at the Olympic Games and the Paralympics Tokyo 2020.-Malaysia World News
