Airod signs MoU with Honeywell to open a C130 aircraft MRO center in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR, Mar 30 – Airod Techno Power Sdn Bhd (ATP) has today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with International aerospace company Honeywell International Inc. to open a maintenance, repair and operation (MRO) center in Malaysia for the Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) of C130 Aircraft.

In a statement on Wednesday , ATP said – through this collaboration – it also plans to offer support and supply chain network for other products from Honeywell, as well as supplying spare parts for the C130 aircraft platform operated by the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF).

“With the expertise and efficiency by both Honeywell and ATP, this collaboration will make full use of ATP’s reputation as a leading engine and component MRO in the region,” said the statement.
 
This MoU marked another milestone for ATP as it will enhance the company’s capabilities in the field of maintenance.
 
ATP has become an engine MRO for T56 engines of C130 aircraft belonging to Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF), and it is making good progress over the years.
 
In 2012, ATP achieved a landmark international recognition during which it received certification as an Authorized Maintenance Centre (AMC) for T56/501 engines from Rolls-Royce, the statement said.
 
ATP’s experience and track record has been recognized by Lockheed Martin and was accorded the Lockheed Martin Quick Engine Change (QEC) Service Center certification in 2015.
 
The expertise plus corporate core values that ATP garnered thus far has earned its reputation as a global player in engine MRO for T56/501 engines.
 
ATP added, Its prime customers are the RMAF and various military and commercial organizations from South East Asia, Asia Pacific, Middle East, South Africa and South America.
 
ATP’s success and growth are attested to its synergistic collaboration with globally reputable OEMs namely Rolls-Royce on T56/501 Engine, Lockheed Martin on C130 QEC and currently with Pratt & Whitney Canada on PT6A-25C Engine MRO.
 
In a move to strengthen market outreach, ATP’s increased investment in infrastructure, new technologies, resources and capabilities continues.
