KUALA LUMPUR: UMNO President, Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi revealed that he had met with former Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak at Kajang Prison recently.
Ahmad Zahid who is also the Deputy Prime Minister said, besides visiting the former Pekan Member of Parliament, he has the opportunity to be with Najib having his favourite food during breakfast.
“I met him in the prison and brought all the food he likes and we ate together during breakfast.
“Now he (Najib) is pursuing his PhD in the prison. When I went to the Kajang Prison, I brought along the Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, Datuk Seri Shamsul Anuar Nasarah,” Ahmad Zahid said in his speech at UMNO General Assembly 2023 at Dewan Merdeka, World Trade Centre here today.
Ahmad Zahid also mentioned that after he had breakfast with Najib, he had been given some time to talk to Najib.
He also stressed that UMNO Supreme Working Council (MKT) is always committed to defend Najib’s fate and justice be given to him. – Malaysia World News
