Malaysian King urges the “rakyat” to retain the country’s stability, prosperity

KUALA LUMPUR: His Majesty Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah urged the Muslims to avoid from spreading seditious statements that will end up threatening the stability and prosperity of the country.

His Majesty said, the SAW Prophet Muhammad’s good conduct had brought Islam to become a big power and strong civilization in the world.

However His Majesty said, the slander phenomenon after SAW Prophet Muhammad’s death had caused the big world power to fall and collapsed.

“The reality is that words that are not very pleasant while speaking or writing in the social media that includes words of humiliation, blasphemy, abusive, dishonest and slanderous will only threaten the stability and the harmony of the beloved country.

“In conjunction with Maulidur Rasul this year, I urge the “rakyat” to instil good moral values while speaking the truth, sincere and avoid slanderous words, dishonest and lies,” His Majesty said in Istana Negara Facebook post today.

His Majesty Al-Sultan Abdullah and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah had consented to grace the Maulidur Rasul 1445 Hijrah national level event at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC) today (Thursday).

Also present at the event were Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Datuk Seri Dr.Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, Deputy Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Mohd. Na’im Mokhtar.

Meanwhile at the event His Majesty had consented to present the Premier Prime Figure Award to Prof. Datuk Dr. Syed Othman Syed Husin Al Habshi besides other six recipients that were led by the President of Islamic Propagation Society International (IPSI), Datuk Kamarudin Abdullah.

The recipients of the Maulidur Rasul Awards were Chairman of Falak Syar’i Malaysia Association, Syed Kamarulzaman Syed Kabeer, Chairman of Sarawak Islamic Council, Datu Misnu Taha, animal welfare activist, Datuk Dr. Mhd Nordin Mohd Nor and retired teacher who is also “Bahasa MelayuWarrior” 2015 icon, Shaariah Dahman.

Another recipient who is a disabled person (blind) is Zamri Ghani, Chief Operation of the Malaysian Muslim Blind Association (PERTIS). – Malaysia World News
