Agong begins his national tour in Singapore

 HM Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong and HM Seri Paduka Baginda Raja Permaisuri Agong have departed to Singapore to begin a national tour until this Friday (28 October 2022).

According to a statement from the palace, the special plane carrying His Majesty both took off from Bunga Raya Complex, Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) at about 9.45am.

YAB Prime Minister Dato’ Sri Ismail bin Sabri Yaakob and his wife Datin Sri Muhaini binti Zainal Abidin were present.

Also present were Foreign Minister Dato’ Sri Saifuddin Abdullah, Chief Secretary Tan Sri Mohd Zuki Ali, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tan Sri Azhar Azizan Harun and Director General of Public Services Dato’ Sri Mohd Shafiq Abdullah.

Before leaving, His Royal Highnesses both received a Royal Salute from the 1st Battalion of the Royal Malay Soldier Regiment accompanied by a 21-das cannon shot and the song Negaraku.

His Majesty’s departure was accompanied by the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dato’ Sri Amran Mohamed Zin, the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Transport Datuk Isham Ishak and officials from the National Palace, the Prime Minister’s Department and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
