KUALA LUMPUR AUG.15: The Attorney General has filed a notice of appeal on the whole decisions of the High Court Judge, Datuk Jamil Hussin who has dropped four predicate charges under Section 23 Malaysia Anti Corruption Act (MACC) 2009 against Tan Sri Muhiaddin Md. Yassin here today.
Attorney General’s Chambers (AGC) in a statement said, the court had also allowed Muhiaddin’s application and ordered the applicant to be released and free from the four predicate charges.
“The prosecutors would like to clarify that the court had made its decision only on the four charges for the offences under Section 23 MACC Act.
“However the other three charges under Section 4(1) Anti Money Laundering Act and Anti-Terrorism Financing and Revenue from Illegal Activities 2001 against Muhiaddin still remains and the mention date at the Kuala Lumpur High Court is on 19th September 2023.
