An Afghan man attacked and stabbed a 58-year-old female gardener on the neck in the Wilmersdorf district of Berlin, Germany on Saturday.
According to the Daily Mail, the suspect also stabbed a 66-year-old man who tried to help the woman. Both victims underwent surgery for their injuries and are in hospital.
It was reported that the Afghan man in Germany repeatedly stabbed the 58-year-old female gardener, allegedly because he didn’t like the fact that she was a working woman, police said Sunday.
The man stabbed the woman in the neck several times in the city’s Wilmersdorf district on Saturday afternoon.
The 66-year-old man who rushed to help the woman was also stabbed in the neck by the suspect.
Police said the man suddenly pulled a knife and stabbed her several times in the neck. He also attacked the passerby who tried helping the woman.
The suspect was arrested on charges of attempted murder and aggravated assault at the scene, according to the UK’s news portal.
