A Muslim man in India beaten brutally by a group of men for transporting cattles meat

A Muslim Indian man has been beaten mercilessly by a group of Indian cattle watchers for allegedly carrying cows meat in his pickup truck.

A viral video on social media showed a group of men beating relentlessly a poor man with belts.

Mohammad Aamir, 35, who works as a pickup truck driver, lodged report (FIR) to the police stating that the group had beaten him after learning he carried cattle carcasses in his vehicle from Raal village to Uttar Pradesh. 

16 people have been identified to be involved in the incident, according to the Times of India.

The pickup truck was part of a cleaning vehicle responsible for disposing animal bones and carcasses in Kampung Ral, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh.

Uttar Pradesh is one of India’s most polarised states with over 40 million Muslims.

Police said, initial investigations found no bones
or carcasses of cattle in the vehicle as alleged.

Aamir suffered serious injuries on his face and shoulders.
