
The victim, 30, was shot on his face and body when he was heading to his MPV Toyota which was parked in front of the restaurant.
“Before that, the victim had lunch at the restaurant with his wife, a five -year -old son and a friend.
“The victim was heading to his vehicle in front of the restaurant,” Utusan quoted Kedah police chief Datuk Wan Hassan Wan Ahmad saying at a press conference at the scene here today.
According to Wan Hassan, the victim was approached by four suspects who were riding two motorcycles as soon as he opened the door of his vehicle.
“One of the suspects then fired eight shots at close range and hit the victim’s body and face, causing him to die immediately.
“All the suspects were wearing full face helmets,” he said.
Wan Hassan added, initial investigations found that the victim had a criminal record related to organized crime.
