96,700 job vacancies remain active for Malaysians to apply – Minister Ramanan

Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri Ramanan Ramakrishnan said, as of June 30, a total of 668,321 job vacancies had been advertised through the Social Security Organisation’s (Perkeso) MYFutureJobs platform, with 96,700 vacancies remaining active for Malaysians to apply for.

He said of the 96,700 active vacancies, nearly 40 per cent comprised of high-skilled positions, while more than 30 per cent were in the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector.

He said the figures demonstrated that employment opportunities continued to be available across various sectors and skill levels.

Through Perkeso and the MYFutureJobs platform, the government provides support services, including job matching, career counselling, CV reviews, interview preparation, as well as reskilling and upskilling programmes to help job seekers return to work more quickly.

He added that almost 20 per cent of the vacancies offered monthly salaries of more than RM5,000, reflecting strong industry demand for local talent.

Beyond the digital platform, Perkeso has also expanded access to employment opportunities through nationwide MYFutureJobs Career Carnivals.
Between January and May this year, a total of 2,989 programmes were organised, involving 86,594 job seekers.

According to the ministry, 14,029 participants secured employment through the programmes, while another 15,809 progressed to the next stage of interviews.

Ramanan said the Human Resources Ministry would continue strengthening collaboration with employers and industry players to ensure more Malaysians secure quality jobs, enhance their skills and build sustainable careers.

He encouraged Malaysians seeking employment or planning a career change to make full use of the MYFutureJobs platform as a gateway to better career opportunities.
