PUTRAJAYA APRIL 14: The fifth Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) is now extended to Jalan Munshi Abdullah, Jalan Dang Wangi, Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman, Jalan Tun Perak, Jalan Melaka, Jalan Ampang and around Masjid India, Kuala Lumpur following the rise of COVID-19 positive cases in those areas.
Defence Minister and Senior Minister (Security Cluster), Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the EMCO imposed in those areas starts today until April 28 and the people involved should cooperate with the staff of the Ministry of Health apart from complying the authorities’ directives.
“The Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) will be the same like other places that have been imposed with EMCO,” he said in a press conference here today.
Meanwhile EMCO that was imposed in Selangor Mansion and Malayan Mansion in Jalan Masjid India on April 7 is now extended till April 28 due to the rise of COVID-19 positive cases amongst the residents in the two mansions.
According to Ismail, the government has also decided to extend the EMCO imposed in Menara City One in Jalan Munshi Abdullah until April 28 for the same reason.
Ismail added, the government too has decided to end the EMCO in Batu 21-23 Kampung Sungai Lui, Hulu Langat that ended last night except Maahad Tahfiz An-Nabawiyyah and a house in Batu 23, Kampung Paya Lebar, Sungai Lui in which EMCO is extended until April 28, 2020.
Relating to Kampung Dato’Ibrahim Majid and Bandar Baharu Dato’ Ibrahim in Simpang Renggam, Kluang, Johor, the government has also decided that the EMCO is extended till April 28 following a rise in COVIDS-19 positive amongst the people in the affected areas. –Malaysia World News
