KUALA LUMPUR NOV.5: Five states namely Perlis, Perak, Pulau Pinang , Sabah and Kedah will be shifting to Phase 4 of the National Recovery Plan (NRP) effective 8th November 2021.
Senior Minister of Defence, Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein said, the decision for the shift was made after taking the current risk evaluation implemented by the Ministry of Health (MOH), National Safety Council (NSC) and the COVID-19 Pandemic Management Special Committee.
Hishammuddin said, the standard operating procedure (SOP) for the states entering into Phase 4 will be the same as implemented before while the current updated information from NSC will be found in the official website www.mkn.gov.my.
On another development Hishammuddin added, fully vaccinated individuals are allowed to enter the stadium including all sports facilities and this is included in the SOP. This permission will be effective on 8th November 2021.
“Children aged below 18 that have not been or not fully vaccinated are not allowed to enter the stadium including sports facilities while eating and drinking in the stadium are not allowed,” Hishammuddin said in a statement here today.
Meanwhile, he said, the RM2,600 COVID-19 operational costs collected from a non-citizen traveller is abolished while the quarantine station charge is still enforced and the private quarantine station charge is the same as before and will be effective 15th November 2021.
Hishammuddin added, the quarantine cost for seven groups of Malaysian citizens that are exempted from quarantine charge will be borne by the government.
On the other hand, the repeat detection test for COVID-19 will be synchronised by MOH via the State Health Department/District related.
“The implementation of the private quarantine station will start seven days after the COVID-19 Pandemic Management Special Committee made the decision on 5th November 2021,” Hishammuddin said.
The Senior Minister reiterated, the flexibilities given by the government should be fully utilised by the people with discipline and responsibility.
