469 new COVID-19 cases recorded in Kuala Lumpur today, 381 in Sabah

PUTRAJAYA NOV.15: Malaysia had recorded 1,208 new COVID-19 cases today contributing to the accumulative total of 47,417 with 469 from Kuala Lumpur out of which 460 cases came from the Damanlela construction side.

Director General of Health, Tan Sri Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah said, the Klang Valley had recorded 661 cases (54.7%), Sabah 381 (31.5%) with 594 from the existing clusters (89.9%) while the Damanlela construction site had contributed 460 cases being the highest today.

Dr. Noor Hisham said, seven cases (0.6%) came from the prisons’ clusters and this include Seberang Prai (4 cases), Sandakan Prison (2) and Kepayan Prison (1).

“From the new cases, six were imported namely from India (3), Bangladesh (1), Nepal (1) and Indonesia (1).

“As of today’s record, 104 had been admitted to the Intensive Care Units with 42 needed respiratory aids and 1,013 had been discharged bringing the accumulative total of 34,785 (73.4%),” said Dr. Noor Hisham in a statement here today.

However he added, three death cases were recorded contributing 309 or 0.7% to the whole total while 12,323 active cases had been isolated and treated in the hospitals nationwide.

The distribution of COVID-19 cases according to states are Kuala Lumpur (469 cases), Sabah (381), Selangor (185), Negeri Sembilan (48), Perak (21), Penang (42), Labuan (30), Johor (9), Kedah (8), Sarawak (4), Melaka (2), Putrajaya (1) and Perlis (1).

Meanwhile three new clusters have been formed today and it includes the Plaza cluster in Kota Kinabalu district, Sabah. Until 15th Nov. 2020, 19 individuals had been screened test with 12 detected positive COVID-19 with 11 from the new cluster.

Dr. Noor Hisham added, relating to the Jalan Kalabakan cluster in Tawau district, Sabah, all 22 that went for screen test were detected with positive COVID-19 including three from the new cluster.

The Jeri cluster was formed in Kota Tinggi district, Mersing and Muar in Johor. Until 15th Nov. 1,170 people were screened test with 26 were detected with positive COVID-19 out of which three came from the new cluster.

In another development, Dr. Noor Hisham said, the Bah Arnab cluster in Kuching district, Sarawak had ended. Until 15th Nov. 72 were screened test and out of which 12 were detected with positive COVID-19 and 60 negative. – Malaysia World News
