465,379 job seekers find new job through MYFutureJobs

KUALA LUMPUR FEB.19: Job seekers who wish to get services to match with the job can go to MYFutureJobs such as the SOCSO Offices, Transformation City Centres (UTC) and MYFutureJobs Satellite Centres in the rural areas, public and private higher education institutes nationwide.

Portal MYFutureJobs currently places more than 465,379 job seekers with new jobs while 57,791 apprentices consisting of students and successful graduates who have secured jobs.

Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said, the Job Guarantee Malaysian Family Initiative with the theme “Malaysian Family Prosperity supports the target of reducing the rate of unemployment via the allocation of 600,000 job opportunities this year with the provision of RM4.8 billion in view of creating job opportunities is the main basis under Budget 2022.

Ismail added, the government is committed to help the entrepreneur communities that employ and create job opportunities to enable them to expand and rebuild their businesses via the Semarak Niaga initiative worth RM40 billion.
“The Job Guarantee Malaysian Family consists of three main programmes namely Employment Initiative that will be implemented by SOCSO with the target of 300,000 job opportunities.

Secondly Malaysia Short Term Employment Programme (MySTEP) that offers 80,000 job opportunities in the public sectors, and government linked companies (GLC) and strategic partners and Job Guarantee and thirdly Upskill Malaysia programme which will be implemented by HRD Corp that will provide skill training for job seekers to enable them to increase their employability and to guarantee job placement with the target of 220,000 trainees,” said Ismail in his speech here Saturday afternoon.

Ismail was speaking at the launching of the Job Guarantee Malaysian Family Initiative and Career Carnival Job Guarantee Malaysian Family 2022 held at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC).

Prime Minister Ismail said, the employment incentive will focus on the efforts that will accelerate the employers to offer workers especially not active individuals such as the unemployed, handicapped, ex-prisoners , senior citizens, and long time unemployed females and to ensure no people has been sidelined.

“With the provision of RM1.7 billion MySTEP programme will be headed by LAKSANA under the Ministry of Finance that will implement a strategic collaboration with government agencies,” Ismail said.

Ismail stressed that the Budget 2022 also provides RM1.1 billion with the target of 220,000 trainees who will undergo several retraining and up skill including place and train programmes that is training for guaranteed job and up skill training with digitalisation as a priority that will be implemented by HRD Corp and Global Online Workforce or GLOW under MDEC.

“Concurrently, the Ministry of Human Resources provides 312 open interview programmes and job carnivals throughout this year. The Career Carnival Job Guarantee Malaysian Family is the curtain opening for 2022 and the first time organised nationwide that offers more than 12,000 job opportunities from 50 companies covering several industries,” Ismail said. –Malaysia World News
