PUTRAJAYA: The Minister of Youth and Sports, (KBS) Hannah Yeoh had received the support certificate of the sports’ code that had been signed by 40 youth associations from the Malaysia Youth Council President, Izzat Afifi Abdul Hamid and other association’s representatives at the Podium, Menara KBS here Wednesday.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports said, the Safe Sports Code has been introduced as a guideline from the Ministry to guide on a safe environment, role and responsibility of all parties in handling harassment and violence in sports that could affect the mental and physical health.
“In line with the launching of Safe Sports Code on 15th March 2023, the Youth Association Registration Office had taken the initiative to hold an event for signing the Safe Sports Code together with the youth associations.
“This initiative is in support of the KBS in ensuring the sports environment in Malaysia is free from any form of torture and disturbances,” the Ministry said in a statement.
Also present at the event was Ts. Dr. Nagulendran Kangayatkarasu, Secretary General of KBS. –Malaysia World News
