35 undocumented immigrants detained in Seri Kembangan

KUALA LUMPUR: Thirty-five undocumented immigrants have been arrested during a raid at the Selangor Wholesale Market in Seri Kembangan.

According to immigration director-general Datuk Ruslin Jusoh, the operation conducted at about 4.45am on Wednesday and thirty-five illegal migrants aged between 21 and 52 were detained, among them were 17 Myanmar nationals, 13 Bangladeshis, two Indian nationals, two Indonesians and one Yemeni.

Ruslin said, some migrants managed to escape.

Those detained have been placed at the Semenyih immigration depot for further action
