KOTA BHARU JULAI 23: Tok Bali is one of the targeted areas for the new economic growth for the state of Kelantan in line with the “Eradication of Hard Core Poor in Malaysian Family Programme” (BMTKM) aimed at eradicating the group by 2025.
Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said, Tok Bali will be the centre for the economic growth through special tax incentive and high impact projects that will be implemented by the East Coast Economic Region Development Council (ECERDC).
Ismail said, the projects include Tok Bali Industry Park (TBIP), Tok Bali Integrated Fish Park (TBIFP) and the external infrastructure for Tok Bali port.
“This effort could help in reaching the targeted investment worth RM2.3 billion and is expected to generate 4,200 new job opportunities and creates 270 entrepreneurs among the local people.
“The government will also build a multipurpose digital complex with sports entertainment concept involving RM6 million on a 23 hectares land at Ketereh.
“The 191 kilometre long Central Spine Road (CSR) incurring RM7.7 billion will be built between Gua Musang till Kuala Krai and is expected to be completed in 2026. The road will make travelling easy besides elevating the socio-economic level of the people,” Ismail said in his speech in conjunction with the “Jelajah Aspirasi Keluarga Malaysia” (JAKM) at the IV Stadium Sultan Muhammad here today.
Regarding the health perspectives, the Prime Minister said, the building projects involving 12 health clinics and quarters are expected to be completed this year while two other projects still in the building process in Gua Musang and Bachok Hospital with the capacity of 76 beds is expected to be ready by next year.
Meanwhile, the building of Palekbang Bridge in Tumpat – the catalyst to the new development growth is scheduled to be ready in 2025.
Ismail added, the Ministry of Rural Development (KPLB) is providing RM2.6 billion involving 88 projects covering 64 continuation projects and 24 new projects in Kelantan.
“Kelantan will also get the benefits from the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) that will connect Kota Baharu to Port Klang involving 43.86 km area networks that have two stations namely passenger station in Tunjong, Kota Bharu and cargo station in Pasir Putih.
“The Sultan Ismail Petra Airport (LTSIP) that is currently being uplifted is able to hold the passenger capacity from 1.5 million to four million and is expected to be completed in 2025,” Ismail said.
The Prime Minister thanked the Menteri Besar of Kelantan, Datuk Ahmad Yaakob for organising the sixth JAKM.
Ismail added, JAKM had earlier being organised in Johor, Perlis, Sabah, Terengganu and Perak for the local people to deal with the ministries and government agencies that provide various services including job opportunities that could be filled by the Malaysian Family.
“This is a proof that the Malaysian Family idea that I introduced on 22nd August 2021 is not a rhetoric or a mere slogan but to protect the prosperity and the people’s interest-like taking care of a family,” Ismail reiterated. – Malaysia World News
