His Majesty special birthday ceremony

PUTRAJAYA:The Highest Government of the Malaysian Armed Forces, His Majesty Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah had consented to be at the Flag Marching Ceremony of His Majesty in conjunction with His Majesty’s Birthday at the Dataran Pahlawan Negara, here, Friday (10th June).

The Ministry of Defence in its statement said, Her Majesty Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah Binti Almarhum Al-Mutawakkil Alallah Sultan Iskandar Al-Haj had also attended the special ceremony of His Majesty.

In conjunction with the special ceremony, five flags of His Majesty Yang di-Pertuan Agong had been taken along by contingents from three Malaysian Armed Forces’ services (MAF) namely the Malaysian Army (TDM) involving the Royal Malay Regiment (RAMD), Royal Ranger Regiment (RRD) and Royal Armoured Corps besides the flags of the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) and Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF).

The statement added, 131 officers and 1,066 personnel from different ranks (LLP) had participated in the whole ceremony involving 57 officers and 847 LLP personnel led by Lieutenant Colonel Mohd Fadzly Mohd Yasin, Commanding Officer 18th Batallion RAMD (18 RAMD) .

Meanwhile, five MAF aircrafts were also involved including three helicopters EC725AP, one Agusta 109 and one Superlynx that had formed a cross flight of the highest honour with the Malaysian Flag together with MAF flags including Malaysian Army, RMN and RMAF led by Major Nazrul Nizam Ismail, RMAF from No 10 Squadron and together with 21 Honourable Shots from 41 Royal Artillery Battery Regiment (customs) led by Leutenant Colonel Mohammad Asri Che Wil.

The flags ceremony was a recognition and a symbol of pride, courage and MAF undivided loyalty towards the Ruler and the country. The flags awarded to the services or teams in the MAF are a recognition, honour and symbol of loyalty of a service/team to the Ruler and the country.

Also present at the special ceremony were Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, Datin Seri Muhaini binti Zainal Abidin; Senior Minister of Defence Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein, Datin Seri Tengku Marsilla Tengku Abdullah; Deputy Minister of Defence, Datuk Seri Ikmal Hisham Abdul Aziz; Chief of MAF, General Tan Sri Affendi Buang (RMAF) andTengku Puteri Seri Teja Puan Sri Datuk Hjh Tengku Muhaini Almarhum Sultan Hj Ahmad Shah. –Malaysia World News
