Reopening Malaysia-Singapore borders on April 1 an opportunity for both countries “to revitalize cooperation”

Kuala Lumpur– Senior Minister of Defence Dato’ Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein has had a very constructive discussion with his counterpart, the Minister of Defense of Singapore, HE Dr. Ng Eng Hen at DSA 2022.

Both Ministers expressed commitment to further enhance training with the armed forces including through Semangat Bersatu (TDM), Malapura (TLDM) and Sarex Malsing (TUDM) this year.

“We also touched on the reopening of the Malaysia-Singapore land border on April 1, which is an opportunity for both countries to revitalize cooperation in various fields,” he said.

As members of the FPDA, we also discuss current regional and global defense issues of mutual interest, he added.
