PM Muhyiddin praised Malaysians’ extraordinary spirits in fighting COVID-19 pandemic

PUTRAJAYA DEC 31: The government will be announcing a comprehensive strategy in early 2021 to recover and reactivate the national economy through the 12th Malaysia Plan.

Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said, the Malaysia Plan will focus on digital and green economy by building the physical infrastructure and digital in the urban and rural areas.

Muhyiddin said, such effort is very important to ensure the Malaysians continue to be competent and are able to grab new opportunities globally.

“In line with the new strategy, the government will launch the National Digital Policy in the first quarter of 2021 with special focus on the development of the 5G network system,” Muhyiddin said in his special New Year 2021 speech here today.

Earlier in his speech, the Prime Minister said, depending on the current economic situation, the government will consider the physical strategic injection if it is needs like the economic stimulus that had been implemented before.

Muhyiddin also emphasized that the government will try its best efforts as the main objective is to help lessen the burden of the people, eliminate poverty and to elevate the prosperity of the Malaysians.

He also praised the Malaysians in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic by rising up together with one hope and spirit of togetherness.

“The people have strong and positive attitude besides being resilient and that is indeed extraordinary and we should be proud of the Malaysians,” said the Prime Minister. – Malaysia World News
