PUTRAJAYA OKT.11:-Director General of Health, Tan Sri Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah said, since the Ministry of Health (MOH) has declared the Petaling District is placed in the red zone, all school should be closed effective 12th October until 25th October 2020.
“The closure will affect 298 schools in the whole of Petaling District,” he said in a statement via his Facebook here this evening.
In another development, the Ministry of Education in its statement said, students staying in the school’s hostel including vocational colleges should be taken back home by their parents.
“While waiting for the parents to take them back, the students will be supervised by the wardens and the food and drinks will be taken care by the schools. The students could also choose not to go back to their homes throughout the closure of the schools,” said the statement.
Meanwhile the Ministry of Education urges the school teachers to conduct teaching and learning from home depending on the suitability of the teachers and the students.
The statement added, the manual of the teaching and learning from home could be downloaded from MOH’s official portal www.moe.gov.my. –Malaysia World News
