PM Muhyiddin on 14 days self-quarantine

PUTRAJAYA: Close contacts of the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Senator Datuk Seri Dr. Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri, who had been detected with positive COVID-19 on Oct.5 had received a letter of monitoring and observation at home for 14 days starting October 3 and wear a wrist band.

Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said, the order was based on Ministry of Health’s risk valuation while those not in close contacts were advised to do self-quarantine for 14 days effective October 3 until 16th October and conduct daily self-health monitoring at home using home assessment tool (HAT) via MySejahtera Apps.

“Datuk Seri Dr. Zulkifli has been detected positive COVID-19 on Monday (Oct.5) and is undergoing treatment in a hospital in Seremban .

“In the National Security Council Special Meeting where I chaired on Oct.3, Zulkifli was also present,” said Muhyiddin in a statement here on Oct.5.I

In relation to the latest situation, Muhyiddin said he will undergo self quarantineat home for 14 days as advised by MOH.

However those present at the meeting had been screened test by MOH.The quarantine that he is undergoing said the Prime Minister, will not disturb the government’s affairs as he will work from home and will use video conferencing in any meeting which he has to preside.

“For health security and alertness, I will also do a COVID-19 swab test which I have done once in every two weeks since April 2020 and all have negative results. Besides that I have done three COVID-19 detection tests in the period ofthree weeks on 22, 26 and 29th September and have shown negative results,” said Muhyiddin. –Malaysia World News
