Sabah to be placed under ‘lockdown’ this Friday is fake news

KOTA KINABALU: News being circulated that Sabah will be put under the ‘lockdown’ this Friday is fake news.

The state chapter of the National Security Council (MKN) said only four districts – Semporna, Lahad Datu, Tawau dan Kunak have been placed under the Targeted Enhanced Movement Control Order (TEMCO). As for the other districts, the matter is only at proposal level.
 
So many Fake news have been circulating on social media these last two days claiming that the entire state would be placed under a possible lockdown this Friday.
