Malaysia contributes RM1 million to Lebanon as humanitarian relief assistance

PUTRAJAYA AUG. 8: In the spirit of solidarity with Lebanon in the aftermath of the devastating and tragic explosion in Beirut on August 4, the government ofMalaysia has decided to contribute RM1 million as humanitarian relief assistance through the Lebanese Red Cross (LRC).

Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said, the Malaysians share the sorrow and anguish of the brotherly people of Lebanon.

“We extend our deepest sympathies and sincere condolences to the bereaved families who have lost their loved ones and pray for full and speedy recovery ofthose injured.

“Malaysia has every confidence that the people of Lebanon will overcome the impacts of the tragedy with continued strength and unity,” said Muhyiddin in a statement here today. –Malaysia World News
