Foreign Minister, Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein said he accepted the court’s decision on Najib’s case with a mixed feeling.

Hishammuddin said, even though the sentence is heavy but I am amazed by Najib’s determination, patience, and confidence in facing the challenges all the way.

“I am sure he will go through the process of appeal. This event will change the dynamics of the party. I hope the leadership of UMNO will lead the party on the right path by placing the interest of the party, government, and the country as the highest priority.

“My advice to everyone is to keep calm, do not rush in affirming your stand as it will become worst if it is emotionally driven,” said Hishammuddin in a statement here on Tuesday (July 28).

Hishammuddin was commenting on the former Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak who was found guilty by the Kuala Lumpur High Court on seven charges involving RM42 million fund of SRC International Bhd.

Najib who is also the cousin of Hishammuddin was sentenced to 12 years jail and fined RM210 million after the High Court found him guilty on charges involving criminal breach of trust, (CBT), money laundering and abuse of power. -Malaysia World News
