KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian Muslims should not be sad for not being able to celebrate Aidilfitri this year, instead they should be thankful to God for the good health and be proud the country has managed in coping with the Covid-19 pandemic and crisis, said Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah.
“Alhamdulillah, I and the Raja Permaisuri Agong are truly grateful to Allah as it is with His abundant blessings that we can celebrate Aidilfitri after a month of fasting in Ramadan,”
“We have learned many lessons in facing the pandemic. We learned that the virus can attack anyone regardless of his/her status, rank, or social position.
“We have also learned now how much good health that Allah has blessed us with is so a very precious gift,” his Majesty said in his special Aidilfitri Message to the nation tonight on the eve of Aidilfitri.
