KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin will address the nation at 2pm today.

He will be live on local TV channels, TV3 and RTM. Astro also will telecast him.

It is expected that he will talk solely about the current issues including coronavirus and MCO extension.

The Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) is expected to end on May 12.

The Prime Minister will announce today whether the CMCO which marks the third extension of the movement control order will be prolonged further.

Many scientist and experts advise the government to extend the MCO and toughen the restriction measures because Malaysia has not yet record one digit in new infection cases.

Malaysia still reports new cases every day,  though the number decreased below 100.

Malaysia has hit 6,589, with 108 as of Saturday (May 9), according to the Ministry of Health.
