The Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Almarhum Sultan Iskandar donated 42 ventilators to the state hospitals which are in need of them to treat Covid-19 patients.
In a statement posted on Sultan Ibrahim’s official Facebook page, Sultan Ibrahim said the donation, which was given through the Yayasan Sultan Ibrahim Johor (YSIJ), is to help lessen the government’s burden.
“The ventilators are donations from donors, as well as my friends, where I understand the current situation of hospitals needing the machine to treat patients.
“This is a cooperation between myself, friends, donors, as well as the state government, to lessen the government’s burden,” said Sultan Ibrahim.
Meanwhile, Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah commented in his Facebook: the donation ” boosts the spirit of health personnel to continue with the fight (against Covid-19) in an effort to save the country.”
His Majesty handed out the donation to state Health Department director Dr Aman Rabu at Istana Pasir Pelangi, with the presence of Mentri Besar Datuk Hasni Mohammad and state Secretary Datuk Azmi Rohani.
