Police in Pakistan have arrested dozens of medical workers, among them many doctors,  protesting a lack of  protective equipment against the deadly Covid-19 pandemic. 

The demonstration took place in the city of Quetta, Pakistan.

Senior police official Razzaq Cheema confirmed the arrests to CNN.

In response, the Young Doctors Association (YDA) called for an immediate boycott of all medical services in Balochistan. 

Pakisan has so far registered 3,277 cases of Covid-19, with 50 deaths,  according to the Ministry of Health. 

13 doctors  have been tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
