KUALA LUMPUR MAR 20: His Majesty Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah today urged the people to abide with the Movement Control Act that was enforced from March 18 till March 31.
His Majesty Al-Sultan Abdullah said the people should just stay at home, avoid social gathering and postpone weddings to other dates when COVID-19 pandemic situation is getting better.
The king also advised the people to stay home, keep clean all the time, not to “balik kampung” but postpone it to a better time, and make “social distancing” when in a crowd to avoid COVID-19 infection.
“Let us work together to stop COVID-19 pandemic from spreading,” His Majesty said in a special deliberation aired on TV1 this evening.
His Majesty said the people should not to be panic in buying the daily necessities as the government has guaranteed that consumption goods are enough as required.
This morning His Majesty went to several places in the city to observe the traffic conditions and whether the Order was followed by the people.
Among the places observed by His Majesty today were Jalan Bukit Bintang, KLCC, Jalan Ampang, Jalan Loke Yew, Jalan Semantan and Jalan Hartamas. – Malaysia World News.
