With the help of more than 130 MPS from Pas and Umno MPs,  Bersatu and Azmin Ali faction are forming a new government headed by Dr. Mahathir.

If this is the end of Pakatan Harapan it would be the end of Anwar Ibrahim and DAP as the latter are not included in the new government.

Yesterday, all Members of Parliament from Bersatu, Umno, Sarawak MPs, and some PKR MPs who back Dr Mahathir met and confirmed the formation of a new government coalition is taking place.

According to sources, the new coalition will be named ” Harapan Nasional” and would include leaders from Bersatu, GPS, Umno and PAS, and some from PKR.

The new government coalition will see DAP and PKR out.

With more than 130 MPs backing him, now Dr. Mahathir has sufficient seats to form a new government.

The MPs had dinner together last night at Sheraton Hotel Pj after having an audience with Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah at the Istana Negara.

This is a big slap to Anwar Ibrahim who is waiting to be the 8th Prime Minister.

It is reported that Bersatu president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang, PKR deputy president Datuk Seri Azmin Ali and Umno leaders had an audience with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and informed him of the formation of the new government.

Sources said the king could not make any decision for now until he meets Anwar Ibrahim and his wife Wan Azzizah today.

Speaking to the media last night after 11 pm at the Sheraton Petaling Jaya Hotel, PKR deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali said he would continue to struggle for “Reformasi.”

“God-willing, we will continue the struggle for the Reformasi agenda to develop the nation and to bring prosperity to Malaysians,” he said.

Meanwhile, Anwar Ibrahim, who was expecting to become the 8th Prime Minister of Malaysia, called Bersatu and Azmin as traitors and he said he is waiting for the formal announcement today.
