KUALA LUMPUR: Over 200 gangsters wearing in black allegedly attacked the Youths and Sports Minister Syed Saddiq and hurled him to leave Johor.
The incident took place at a Bersatu Youth (Armada) event last night in Ulu Tiram, Johor.
The Minister alleged the “gangsters” came to the event and started yelling and disturbing the attendees that he and other people were forced to flee by climbing over a fence for their safety.
“The disrespectful gangsters surrounded our tables…They screamed and shouted bad remarks.
“What is this? There were small children, women at the function…Worse, they demanded the minister (himself) apologise to TMJ, if I were to leave,” he wrote on Instagram early today.
In a video speculating on social media, the group of young men are heard shouting at the Minister and asking him to leave the state.
“I would like to remind the puppet masters that Malaysia has laws, police, and courts. No one is above the Federal Constitution. “No one is above the rule of law. This is Malaysia. Malaysia belongs to all,” he said.
However, on a separate post on Facebook Syed Saddiq blamed UMNO. He said the group is from UMNO.
In reaction, Umno announced that it would lodge a police report and file a lawsuit against the minister for defamation and slander.
Meanwhile, the police said they have already opened an investigation on the matter.
