AYER KEROH: PKR information chief Datuk Seri Shamsul Iskandar (pic left) sees Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as a person with all the qualities needed to be the next prime minister of Malaysia.
“We are so close to having Anwar as the prime minister. His way of thinking, his experience, and what he has gone through qualifies him for the premiership,” he said in his speech at the PKR’s national congress here today, as reported by The Sun Daily.
Shamsul pointed that all component parties of Pakatan Harapan (PH), including Bersatu, DAP, and Amanah are backing Anwar to take over Tun Dr Mahathir.
“DAP, PPBM and Amanah agree. So, why there some people among us (PKR) that are against this (the transition)?
Shamsul was referring to several top leaders in PKR, including party number two Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali, who do not support the handover to Anwar and who walked out of the PKR National Congress yesterday.
