Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad yesterday reaffirmed his disagreement on deporting the controversial Muslim preacher to India.
He was quoted by the New Straight Times (NST) saying his stand not to deport Dr Zakir has not changed.
“As of now, there is no change (on my stand),” he said at a press conference yesterday after the second series of meeting with civil servants.
Recently many Ministers and activists called for Dr. Zakir ` Deportation, yet the Prime Minister still disagrees with them.
India accused Dr Zakir of money laundering and extremist and demanding Malaysia to extradite him.
Dr Mahathir said Malaysia will not deport Dr Zakir to India where he might receive unjust treatment and get killed.
More to come.
