Osaka, Japan: US President Donald Trump today met with China President Xi Jinping at the G20 Summit in Osaka, Japan.
Both leaders agreed to cease the trade war between their two countries, while Trump agreed to allow Huawei Technologies to buy products from US suppliers.
“US companies can sell their equipment to Huawei.
“We’re talking about equipment where there’s no great national security problem with it.”
“I said that’s OK, that we will keep selling the product, these are American companies that make these products. That’s very complex, by the way.
“I’ve agreed to allow them to continue to sell that product so that American companies will continue,” Trump told the media after the meeting with Xi at the Group of 20 Summit (G20) on Saturday.
“China and the United States both benefit from cooperation and lose in confrontation,” Chinese President #XiJinping said when meeting with his US counterpart Donald Trump, according to Xi Facebook posting.
