Malaysia naval ship, KD Lekiu participated in the International Fleet Review

Qindao, China: KD Lekiu from the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) was amongst 18 naval ships from 13 countries that participated in the International Fleet Review in conjunction with the 70th Anniversary of the People Liberation Army Navy (PLA-N).

The historical event was also participated by others from Australia, Bangladesh, India and Russia while Malaysia is one of the representatives of ASEAN besides Brunei, Myanmar, Phillippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

“China’s President, Xi Jinping was present at the event in which 30 PLA-N ships lead the parade in the sea,” said RMN in its statement today.

The statement added, KD Lekiu was on its international interaction mission and Qindao was its second destination after they went to Kure,Japan.

The activities carried out in Qindao include “open ship”,(review)” sharing experiences and sports event that give delegates the opportunity to interact and to foster closer relationship with one another._Malaysia World News
