Permatang Pauh MP Nurul Izzah Anwar said Malaysia needed a solid opposition party and urged UMNO to stay strong, pointing out that the Islamic party, the Pas may become stronger if Umno no longer exist.
“No government, no members of the executives can run their show without an able opposition.
She said that perhaps because many UMNO leaders are switching sides.
Earlier this month, Umno’s Guar Chempedak state assemblyman Datuk Dr Ku Abd Rahman Ku Ismail left the Malay nationalist party to join PPBM.
